There are five of us here in
Niamey!
James (also known
as "Maurice" or just "Mo"):
- Loves to learn. Whoever knew him in high school might
wonder at that! He studied Geography and Geology at
University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, and Theology at Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, SC, and
more recently at the Evangelical Theological Faculty in
Louvain, Belgium (doctoral studies in New Testament).
- Still loves soccer, especially his favorite team SS
Lazio!
- He shares his birthday with his big sister Melissa on
December 15th!
Lilian:
-
Comes from a small town with a big name
(Grosshöchstetten) near Bern, Switzerland. She has three
sisters and four brothers, and lots of aunts, uncles and
cousins!

She
likes to do crafts, cooking and baking, and being outside in
the countryside, mountains, and seaside (here in Niamey we
have the Niger river about 200 meters from our house...but
it's not exactly the Côte d'Azur!).
- Keeps the family going, and is helping in the Student
Center ministry and teaching the students' wives at the
Seminary.
- Her birthday is August 22nd.
Daniel:
- Born in the USA (Columbia, South
Carolina).
- He likes to read, play sports, and be with friends and
family.
- He really enjoys The Lord of the Rings and Legos.
- Favorite food: pizza, hamburgers; Kool-aid.
- His birthday is January 19th (1993).
Melinda:
- Born in Estavayer-le-Lac (Switzerland), and spent almost
all of her first three years in Niger.
- She loves to play the piano, read stories, and be with
friends and family.
- Favorite food: pizza and raclette; Kool-aid and ice-tea.
- Her birthday is September 23rd (1994).
Christina:
- Born at Galmi Hospital in Niger, West Africa!
- She likes to draw, color, and read, and play with
friends and family.
- Favorite food: ice-cream, chocolate cereal, mortadella;
orange soda.
- Her birthday is May 24th (1997).
